The Riverside Confession Letter - Structure

PART III (THE ATTACK)

I GRABBED AND

HER AROUND THE NECK

WITH MY HAND

OVER HER MOUTH

MY OTHER HAND WITH A SMALL KNIFE
AT HER THROAT. SHE WENT VERY WILLINGLY. HER BREAST

FELT WARM AND VERY FIRM UNDER MY HANDS,
BUT ONLY ONE THING WAS ON MY MIND.

MAKING HER PAY FOR THE BRUSH OFFS THAT
SHE HAD GIVEN

ME DURING THE YEARS PRIOR.

SHE DIED HARD.

In the third part, the author continues with a sequential description (first this, next that), with the protagonist and antagonist as contrasting poles, while the action further rises and finally turns violent, reaching its climax.
